Keolis

Train operating companies often have to share the same train lines with other regional operators or the national operator Deutsche Bahn. The passenger transport authority is responsible for setting the timetables, fixing the prices and receiving the revenue.

The two lates developments for Keolis Deutschland were the opening of two new franchises: in December 2008 Hellweg-Netz, serving the towns of Dortmund, Hamm and Münster; and in December 2009 Maas-Rhein-Lippe-Netz, serving Dortmund, Düsseldorf, Duisburg, Essen… and as far as Venlo in the Netherlands.
