Light metro
Keolis is a 20% shareholder in the consortium ViaPORTO which took over operations of the Porto light metro service on 1st April 2010 for a period of 5 years.
The other members of the consortium are local operator Barraqueiro, Arriva and the maintenance company Manvia.
The Porto light metro runs mainly over ground and is similar to a tram system rather than a typical metro. Keolis' expertise in tram systems was critical to the success of the consortium.
