Bike

The use of bicycles is increasingly popular in cities, and Keolis has developed a number of solutions to give public transport users the chance to do part of their trip by bike, whether their own or rented. The group positions its bike stations near heavily-used interchanges and stops, allowing for fluid connections between bus or light rail and bike.

Services offered by Keolis come in a number of forms:

  • short term (hourly) rental bike schemes such as the LEvéloSTAR system in Rennes, involving dozens of stations and smart card ticketing;
  • day rental, returning the bike to the same place, in schemes such as Vélodéa in Aix-les bains or Velopole in Lille
  • month or year rental, such as in Tours' Velociti service;
  • Day parking and surveillance in Lille's Velopoles, or longer-term parking

Keolis currently operates 10 bike services across France and regularly integrates bike schemes into urban transport schemes.
