Keolis receives the Professional Equality Label

A first for a public transport provider


On 21st October 2010, Jacques Beslin, managing director of the French standards agency AFNOR, officially presented Michel Bleitrach with the professional Equality certificate (Label Egalité Professionnelle), valid for three years. The award comes after three years of work within the company which started with the Keolis Women's Day in October 2007.

In his acceptance speech Keolis chariman Michel Bleitrach was keen to emphasise that clients and stakeholders were particularly sensitive to transport staff being representative of the populations they serve. He also stressed that Keolis' clearly oriented recruitment policy had brought about an increase in the share of  female employees: in 2009 women represented 38% of total employee numbers and 29% of managerial staff.

This label is particularly distinctive for Keolis as the group inthe first public transport company to obtain this certification.
