Keolis’ joint-venture with RATP Dev and a Qatari group has been awarded the operations and maintenance contract of Qatar’s future public transport rail network, consisting of three automated metro lines and four tram lines. The win confirms the Group’s leading role in the global mass transit market for major metropolitan areas.
Keolis began the operation of the first of three automated metro lines in Hyderabad (India) on 29 November, 2017. The new contract highlights the Group’s expertise in mass transit, and confirms its place as the world leader in automated metro and the success of its international development strategy.
In partnership with Shanghai Shentong Consulting as part of the Shenkai joint venture, Keolis will be the future operator of line 8.3, the new fully automated section of the Shanghai metro. The 6.7 km extension will be brought into service at the end of 2017. With this new contract, the Keolis Group reinforces its position as the global industry leader.
