KeolisAmey Docklands named ‘Rail Operator of the Year’ at the 2018 London Transport Awards
KeolisAmey Docklands (KAD), the joint-venture between Keolis and its partner Amey which has operated the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) automated metro in London since December 2014, was named ‘Rail Operator of the Year’ at the 15th London Transport Awards (LTA) on 1 March 2018. This prize rewards the constant efforts of local teams to deliver the best service possible to the daily passengers of the line, which is an essential part of the London network managed by Transport for London (Tfl). The panel also awarded Anisha Mistry, a KAD employee responsible for internal communications, the ‘Stuart Ross Young Communications Professional’ award, which recognises communication professionals under the age of 30 working in the transport industry.
KeolisAmey Docklands honoured for its unique social inclusion programme
One week before being named Rail Operator of the Year, KeolisAmey Docklands was awarded the ‘Customer Service Excellence’ award at the 20th Rail Business Awards for its ‘Back on Track’ programme. This is the second time that the Keolis subsidiary has been honoured for this innovative industry-leading programme, which assists and encourages National Health Service (NHS) Mental Health service users dealing with various psychological health issues (eg. depression, anxiety and claustrophobia) to confidently and safely regain their freedom to travel and integrate into their community.
Quality, health, safety and environment: a comprehensive industry certification
KeolisAmey Docklands has also recently been accredited for its Integrated Management System (IMS). The accreditation brings together KAD's three existing certificates: ISO 9001 for quality management, ISO 14001 for environmental management and OHSAS 18001 for safety management into an integrated single business management system. This integrated approach allows KAD to align all of their common processes, risks and compliance obligations and operate more efficiently in line with their business strategy. This triple certification, which lowers costs by combining audits for more than one system, awards KAD’s Health, Safety, Quality and Environment department as well as the heads of departments and managers across the business.
