Keolis Canada gives Santa Claus a helping hand

With Christmas approaching, Keolis Canada is organising an innovative campaign on the streets of Quebec to collect toys for disadvantaged children.

From 27 November to 19 December 2017, Santa Claus is getting some help from Keolis Canada, who is making sure disadvantaged children will receive toys on the evening of 24 December. During this time, the Group’s subsidiary is inviting the inhabitants of Quebec, its network passengers, partners and employees to donate gently used or new toys. Keolis Canada is circulating buses decorated with Christmas colours to collect the toys on the Orleans Express lines from Rimouski to Montreal, passing through Quebec, Terrebonne and Repentigny. To optimise this first edition of the “Santa Claus Express”, collection boxes have been installed in Keolis Canada’s urban, airport, and school bus networks, and also inside schools and shopping centres. Posters advertising the campaign are displayed around the network in order to inform passengers and collect the largest number of toys possible. 

A solidary initiative launched by Keolis Canada employees

Conceived in partnership with regional charity organisations, the campaign has been created by Keolis Canada employees and requires the involvement of all of its teams and those of its subsidiaries, including Orleans Express and Skyport. The initiative represents Keolis’ commitment to social responsibility, which notably aims to reinforce social connections between communities. For Keolis Canada, this commitment to social responsibility is best shown through the Group’s strong presence at the heart of local communities and the contribution of employees working to help those less fortunate.

At a time when the magic of the holiday season surrounds us, we are excited and proud to lead this children’s campaign, which perfectly corresponds with our values and the strong commitment of our teams.  The mobility sector helps unite communities, and we still believe in generosity, the main driving force behind this initiative.
