Keolis, a global mobility integrator, consolidates its ambitions in parking, a lever for developing the mobility chain, with the acquisition of Mypark, a historic actor in parking in Belgium. With this operation, EFFIA reaches a major milestone in its international development strategy, becoming the 4th largest operator on the parking market in Belgium with more than 32,000 parking spaces managed. Julien Verdin is appointed Managing Director of Mypark.

On 11 December 2019, Keolis, Châteauroux Metropole and the French Shooting Federation concluded a partnership agreement to authorise the autonomous vehicle tests carried out by the Group at the National Centre for Shooting Sports (CNTS), located near Châteauroux, in the centre of France. This partnership will enable Keolis to pursue its development in autonomous vehicle fleet management, by conducting operational tests aimed at improving vehicle operation and the vehicles’ capacity to adapt to different traffic environments in order to guarantee optimal safety and quality of service for passengers.

On 10 December 2019, RKH Qitarat (the joint venture of Keolis, RATP Dev and the Hamad Group) completed Doha’s driverless metro network with the opening of the green line and the second section of the red line. This follows the recent opening of the gold line and the first section of the red. The launch comes in time for the FIFA Club World Cup which begins on Wednesday 11 December and for the Football World Cup that Qatar will host in 2022.
The 20-year contract awarded in December 2017 by Qatar Rail covers operation and maintenance of the entire metro network comprising a total of three lines, 76 kilometres long and 37 stations, as well as the Lusail tram network expected to open in 2020. This is the country’s first urban rail network and a key part of ‘Qatar Vision 2030’, a strategic plan established by the Qatari government designed to enhance Doha’s appeal by diversifying and improving shared mobility options.

Keolis has been awarded a new contract to operate a commuter bus service between Gothenburg and Borås, covering 65km. The fossil-free, biodiesel double-deck buses will provide a service to 1.3 million passengers every year. With this new contract, the Group reinforces its presence in Sweden, where it operates 1,700 fossil-free buses throughout the country
