On 18 January 2021, Keolis began testing autonomous electric vehicles in the city of Gothenburg on behalf of local public transport authority Västtrafik.
In early 2020, Joël Lebreton announced his intention to step down at the end of his term as Chairman of Keolis' Supervisory Board in order to focus on personal projects, and on chairing NGO Agrisud International in particular.
On 15 January 2021, Keolis' Supervisory Board met and warmly thanked him for his accomplishments as its Chairman over the past nine years, before appointing Jérôme Tolot (Group Administrator since October 2020) Chairman.

On 3 December 2020, the Syndicat Mixte des Transports du Bassin d'Alès (SMBTA), in France's Gard department, renewed its trust in Keolis for the operation and maintenance of its entire NTecC public transport network, which will be renamed Ales’Y from 1 April 2021. All mobility services will be refashioned under this new name: Ales’Y by Bus, Ales’y Carpool, Ales’y by Bike and Ales’y by Scooter.

Keolis has been awarded a bus contract worth €190 million by Nordjyllands Trafikselskab (NT), the public transport authority of the Northern Jutland region in north-western Denmark. The contract will start in August 2021.
