In Rennes (France), Keolis, which already operates two Navya electric autonomous shuttles in the University of Rennes, further pursues its trials with two new shuttles made by EasyMile. On the same occasion, Easymile inaugurates its new-generation shuttle. In Lyon (France), the Group has reached a new milestone in autonomous vehicle deployment with the entry into service of two new Navya automated shuttles fully integrated into traffic, a first in the country. In Newcastle (Australia), Keolis will start to operate autonomous shuttles running on public roads by the end of the year.In Gothenburg (Sweden), in partnership with Volvo, Keolis unveiled a 12-metre long electric bus in its depot.

From 29 October to 3 December 2019, Keolis will be embarking on a tour of seven cities throughout France – Le Mans, Bordeaux, Toulouse, Salon-de-Provence, Prenois, Bouxières-aux-Dames and Comines – to promote more sustainable forms of mobility across the country. The group's alternative energy experts will be presenting their vision of various clean energies (bio NGV , electric and hydrogen) as well as existing rolling stock to public transport authorities in order to feed their reflection on the challenges of climate change within their territory. Following launches of fully electric bus rapid transit (BRT) services in Amiens and Bayonne-Biarritz in 2019, this initiative is further evidence of the group's desire to make mobility more environmentally friendly.

On 8 July 2019, elected officials of the Epinal conurbation authority (CAE ‒Communauté d’Agglomération d’Epinal), renewed their confidence in Keolis Group to operate the public transport network Imagine. This new 6-year public service concession begins on 1 January 2020. It will generate cumulative revenues of approximately 30 million euros. Keolis, which has operated the network since 2012, will be tasked with developing the transport offer in the region, notably by setting up evening transport services and developing a passenger information system. By the end of the contract, Keolis is committed to increasing the number of network users by 12% and revenues by 11% across the entire network.
The first of its kind in France, this virtual mobility assistant provides an end-to-end conversational, voice-assisted experience via a mobile app. It leverages the power of artificial intelligence, smart data and voice assistance to provide passengers with an inclusive experience, supporting them with their essential mobility requirements (itineraries, service, traffic situation, etc.).

Following the green light from the French Competition Authority, Swiss Post finalised its sale of CarPostal France to Keolis Group on 30 September 2019. Under the terms of the sale, Keolis, which is owned by SNCF (70%) and by the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (30%), acquires the company and its subsidiaries, as well as its employees and vehicles. With the sale of CarPostal France, Swiss Post is withdrawing from the French transport market.
