With the aim of making public transport more inclusive and accessible, Keolis is trying out NaviLens technology in Versailles, in the Paris region, until July 2021 with a panel of visually impaired users. This technology is being used for the first time in France along the itineraries that connect the platforms of Versailles-Chantiers station, operated by Transilien (SNCF), to the platforms of the bus station, operated by Keolis Versailles on behalf of Île-de-France Mobilités. "Augmented" QR codes are placed along the itineraries, making it possible to guide the passengers throughout their journeys, identify approaching buses and provide schedules in real time.
On 10 April 2021, Keolis started operating T9 on behalf of the public transport authority for the Ile-de-France region, Ile-de-France Mobilités (IDFM). The T9 is a new tram line in the Paris region and the first to be awarded to Keolis in competition with other operators. This launch provides analternative mobility solution for residents and visitors to Parisand the Val-de-Marne department, who can now travel on a comfortable, environmentally-friendly and regular transport service between Paris and the city of Orly
Inaugurated on 31 March 2021, a new bus line1 serving the suburban train station of Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines-Montigny-le-Bretonneux2 and several local business parks in the Île-de-France Mobilités network enables passengers to reach their destination on autonomous electric shuttles.
Following previous trials in La Défense and Vincennes, this project, led in close collaboration with Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines intercommunal district, is a new milestone in the development of autonomous shuttles as a mobility solution by Île-de-France Mobilités, the public transport authority for the Paris Île-de-France region.
For the first time, the autonomous shuttles operate alongside regular traffic and feature as a mobility solution in the Île-de-France Mobilités journey planner app, just like the other 1,500 bus lines in the Île-de-France network.
On 17 February 2021, the Thionville-Fensch urban public transport authority (SMiTU) awarded Keolis a contract to operate and maintain its Citéline public transport network.
