Within a day of each other, Keolis started operating two new major rail networks in Germany and the Netherlands, as well as a bus network in Greater Amsterdam, in December 2017. Three launches that reinforce the Group’s growth and strong position in Continental Europe.
Keolis’ joint-venture with RATP Dev and a Qatari group has been awarded the operations and maintenance contract of Qatar’s future public transport rail network, consisting of three automated metro lines and four tram lines. The win confirms the Group’s leading role in the global mass transit market for major metropolitan areas.
Keolis began the operation of the first of three automated metro lines in Hyderabad (India) on 29 November, 2017. The new contract highlights the Group’s expertise in mass transit, and confirms its place as the world leader in automated metro and the success of its international development strategy.
Following the launch of PlanBookTicket in France, Keolis has launched helloGo in the Netherlands, an all-in-one digital multimodal solution. This is the first time the Netherlands has offered an app covering all modes of transport, allowing passengers to manage all steps of their journey on their smartphones. An innovative tool that confirms the Group’s progress in connected mobility.
After being awarded the operating contract for Shanghai’s first automated metro line in April 2016, Keolis has now been chosen to operate a second line which will connect all four terminals at Pudong International Airport in Shanghai, starting in 2019. The new contract confirms the Group’s position as a world leader in automated metro and reinforces Keolis’ presence in the Asian mass transit market.
