Attractive and easy to understand fares for everyone
Developing the right fare structure is a real challenge. It needs to be consistent, fair, easy to understand, and tailored to the level of service offered, as well as to the lifestyle of local citizens. Keolis’ experience managing 300 networks across 16 countries means it can offer public transport authorities a range of solutions to help increase commercial revenue.

An adapted offer to reduce fare evasion
Fare structures adapted to low-income citizens can help reduce fare evasion rates. As part of their 2015 campaign to fight fare evasion, Keolis Lyon and SYTRAL, Lyon’s public transport authority, distributed flyers to passengers, outlining the different discounts available to ensure everyone can afford to travel with a valid ticket.
A distribution strategy adapted to all needs
Human contact for assistance and reassurance, digital channels for tech-savvy customers… Keolis networks offer a mix of traditional channels (ticket offices, authorised ticket resellers, automatic ticket machines) and remote sales (online purchases via computers or mobile devices) to ensure every passenger is catered for, whatever their purchasing preference.
Purchasing process and renewal performance index (IPPA): a 360° customer vision
Keolis has created an innovative tool to measure the effort of customers throughout the purchasing process. In conjunction with a detailed mapping of sales channels, the tool calculates the purchasing process and renewal performance index (IPPA) for each type of ticket, across all distribution channels. The tool is used in many Keolis networks to help define action plans, measure their impact, and establish benchmarks between networks.
