On 18 September 2020, Keolis Downer, Keolis’ Australian subsidiary, was awarded a 1.32 billion euro (AUS$ 2.14 billion) contract by South Australia's Department of Infrastructure and Transport to operate and maintain the commuter rail network of Adelaide in the State of South Australia. This is the first time this network will be managed by a private operator.
The contract, which takes effect on 31 January 2021, is for an initial period of eight years, extendible to twelve years. As part of this contract, Keolis Downer will deliver more services and improve passenger experience.
The Supervisory Board of Keolis Group, under the presidency of Joël Lebreton, unanimously appointed Marie-Ange Debon as Keolis Group Executive Chairwoman, during a Supervisory Board that was held on Tuesday 28 July 2020.

On 3 July 2020, the Swedish public transport authority (PTA) Storstockholms Lokaltrafik (SL) awarded Keolis a four-year extension worth 500 million euros to operate and maintain a fossil-free bus fleet in Stockholm, Sweden.

Keolis has been awarded a new contract to operate and maintain a bus network in Virginia from 1 November 2020 for a period of five years.
Claire Martin has joined Keolis as Executive Director of the Group's Industrial Department1 and becomes a member of the Group's Executive Committee in this capacity. Claire will be responsible for leading the group's industrial strategy and developing expertise and strategic partnerships in coordination with the France, International and Business departments of the Group. She will also drive transformations to meet customers’ needs and expectations, especially in relation to energy transition.
