Agile and dynamic transport services
TRANSPORT ON DEMAND: A NEW GENERATION OF MORE INTUITIVE TRANSPORT
Running on up-to-the-last minute reservation to maximise groupings per journey, these non-regular lines cover areas where passenger numbers are too low to justify a regular line. Keolis' transport offer can be adapted to the requirements of the community (e.g. serving the entire agglomeration while streamlining costs, occasional reinforcement of certain time slots on a regular line). To optimise costs, routes can be subcontracted to taxis or private driver services.
MORE CHOICE FOR BETTER TRAVEL
One of the three underlying principles of Thinking like a Passenger is to offer more transport possibilities to citizens, prior to hyper-personalisation. First, through integrated and multimodal networks where passengers can choose – and combine – different transport modes according to their needs, desires and constraints at the time. Another promise: to offer more solutions to citizens where transport services are less frequent, especially in suburban areas or during off-peak hours. This is how Keolis complements its tram, metro and regular bus services with agile and dynamic transport solutions.
KEOLIS’ TRANSPORT NETWORKS RELY ON TRANSPORT ON-DEMAND
On networks like Quimper or Laval as well as in Adelaide, South Australia, Keolis offers a shared, reservation-only transport service, triggered at the passengers’ request. The same goes for the Filéo network, which serves the communes around Paris Charles de Gaulle airport, allowing the airport hub’s employees to get around at night. Filéo is one of the biggest on-demand transport services in Europe.
Finally, in Australia, in Sydney and Newcastle, the Group has launched real-time on-demand transport trials where passengers can book and pay for their journey online through an innovative app that also provides grouped trips.
