The new Executive board unanimously elected Jean-Pierre Farandou as president of the UTP for the next two years. Jean-Pierre Farandou had chaired the was previously UTP President from June 2015 to June 2017. During this period, Hhe notably initiated the General Assembly for sustainable mobility co-organizsed with many public and private stakeholders as well as think-tanks.
Representing each branch of UTP's scope of work, four vice-presidents will work with him: Marie-Claude Dupuis, Director of Strategy, Innovation and Development of the RATP Group, Marc Delayer, Managing Director of Public Transport Choletais (French urban community), Pierre Izard, Managing Director of SNCF's Systems & Technologies, and Clément de Villepin, Transdev Group's Director of Human Resources.
After Following his election, Jean-Pierre Farandou gave a short speech to thank his peers for their trust. He also and proposed that Thierry Mallet continue as honorary member of the professional organisationin recognition of his hands-on involvement in the professional organisation as president.

Over the next two years, the UTP will continue working its work on the negotiations for concerning the collective agreement of the rail division, for the opening up to competition in Ile-de-France, and around the integration of new mobility into the economic model of tomorrow's urban transport. UTP must continue its action to promote sustainable mobility and defend the economic model of urban transport and the railway business.
