April 5, 2025 marked a turning point for public transport in the Greater Nancy area with the launch of Trolleybus line 1, a 100% electric vehicle that strengthens the Stan network. This innovative project was made possible thanks to the commitment of the teams at Keolis Grand Nancy and the Greater Nancy Metropolis, who worked hand in hand to replace the old rubber-tired tramway.

The Trolleybus is a vehicle that is both modern and environmentally friendly. With its 25 vehicles, each 24.5 meters long, this line is equipped with the latest-generation Lightram 25 DC Trolleybuses, manufactured by the Swiss company HESS. Each vehicle has 154 seats (46 seated + 108 standing), including 7 spots adapted for people with reduced mobility, wheelchairs, and strollers. Additionally, passenger comfort is enhanced with the availability of free Wi-Fi and USB charging ports onboard.
The service operates every day from 4:00 AM to 12:30 AM, with 25 stations spread across a 10 km route. The Trolleybus is a practical and accessible mode of transport, with 45,000 daily passengers. This figure reflects the growing interest in this new line.

The launch was a true success, with many passengers and curious onlookers discovering this new mode of transport throughout the weekend. The Trolleybus offers a more eco-friendly, quieter, and comfortable way to travel, while also making it easier to access different parts of the city.
With this initiative, Greater Nancy takes a step forward towards a sustainable and modern future. The 100% electric Trolleybus represents a significant advancement in the transformation of urban transport modes, in response to ecological challenges and the growing demand for greener transport solutions.
