• The Australian Government’s High Speed Rail Authority (HSRA) has appointed a Keolis-led partnership as its Business, Operations and Maintenance Adviser (BOMA) for the Development Phase of the Newcastle to Sydney high speed rail project.

  • The partnership, comprising Keolis, SNCF Voyageurs and CERTIFER, will bring an integrated approach combining operational expertise, technical know-how, and international high speed rail experience. Acting as HSRA’s shadow operator and maintainer, the partnership will help ensure operational, maintenance and customer requirements inform the project’s Development Phase from the outset.

  • This appointment further strengthens Keolis’s global strategic partnership with SNCF Group, following the recent co-development agreement for the California High speed Rail (CAHSR) project and last year’s appointment as co-development partner for the ALTO high speed rail project in Canada.

"Australia has an extraordinary opportunity to create a high speed rail network that will transform connectivity between cities and regions for generations to come. Keolis is proud to bring together global high speed rail expertise and local Australian capability to support this landmark project. Our role is to help ensure Australia benefits from lessons learned across some of the world's most successful high speed rail systems, while developing an approach tailored to Australian communities and passengers. This appointment reinforces the strategic importance of Australia to Keolis and reflects our long-term commitment to supporting the future of sustainable mobility in the country." "It is also further proof of the strength of our partnership with SNCF Group, which continues to open new high speed rail opportunities for us around the world."

Frédéric Van Heems, Keolis Group Chairman and CEO.
