For over a century, the Flame of the Unknown Soldier has been rekindled daily at the foot of the Arc de Triomphe, a powerful symbol of duty and national remembrance. At the invitation of Defence Mobility, Lydie Jallier, Group Human Resources Director at Keolis, took part in this event on Tuesday 3 June, reflecting Keolis’s long-standing commitment alongside the Ministry of the Armed Forces’ career transition agency.

A partnership dedicated to career transition

Since 2009, Keolis and Defence Mobility have developed a long-term partnership that has led to the recruitment of nearly 800 employees from the Ministry of the Armed Forces, enabling them to build a second career within the Keolis Group.

86% of these career transitions involve driving positions, with strong job stability: 70% of hires are on permanent contracts. This success reflects the strong alignment between Keolis’s operational needs and the transferable skills of military personnel.

This partnership provides tailored support to military and civilian personnel undergoing career transitions, by valuing their valuable and specific skills: rigour, sense of mission, discipline, as well as technical expertise and leadership abilities. At Keolis, they find a structured and demanding professional environment that supports their success.

In 2022, this agreement was renewed to strengthen the momentum and embed new initiatives, particularly in support of military spouses, who often face challenges linked to professional relocations.
