Keolis recently hosted its annual Large Metro Club in Copenhagen, Denmark, bringing together teams from metro networks in Dubai, London DLR, Hyderabad, Rennes, Grand Paris Express, and Lille, alongside colleagues from Keolis Group and external partners (STRIDES, Nordic Signals, AREP, DSB etc). This three-day event served as a platform to exchange ideas, address operational challenges, and explore innovative solutions to enhance our 8 automated metro networks worldwide.

The Large Metro Club focused on several key areas:

  • Technical challenges: Collaboratively addressing and finding solutions to common technical constraints across different networks.

  • Customer experience: Sharing best practices to improve passenger satisfaction and service quality.

  • Digital solutions: exploring and implementing digital technologies to boost operational performance and enhance passenger services.

  • Public Transport Authorities (PTAs) cooperation: Emphasising the importance of strong partnerships with PTAs to achieve mutual goals.

  • Transparency among Public Transport Operators (PTOs): Promoting openness and information sharing to foster trust and efficiency.

These discussions underscored how global collaboration can lead to tangible improvements in local metro operations.

Marie-Ange Debon, CEO of Keolis Group, along with several members of the Executive Committee, participated in the event. They highlighted the significance of collective growth, mutual learning, and the necessity of transparency to successfully deliver and develop metro networks.
